Talia's Priorities
Talia’s passion for education comes from the belief that every child deserves a high-quality learning environment where they can thrive. She has seen the challenges in our schools – from curriculum issues to disparities in student success – and she is eager to bring fresh ideas and a collaborative spirit to the School Board. Known for her ability to listen and build consensus, Talia focuses on solutions that benefit the entire community. Her platform emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and transparency in addressing school issues. Key priorities for Talia include addressing antisemitism and promoting inclusivity, supporting special education and student well-being, ensuring administrative transparency, and managing the budget responsibly. She has also championed initiatives like parent education workshops and improved tutoring programs to help every student succeed. Talia aims to strengthen the partnership between families and the district – she wants school leaders to be responsive to parents and teachers, and for Lower Merion schools to remain places where “every child can succeed, regardless of background or circumstances”. With her grassroots involvement and consensus-building approach, Talia will be a board member who ensures every voice is heard and every student is supported.
